Meet the Founder.
Chaya Braxton is the mom of a black girl, narrative and cultural strategist, marketing and communications professional and community advocate.
Chaya is committed to advancing equitable transit, fair access to education, and narrative justice. She is the Founder and CEO of Kokoma Insights, a company dedicated to reshaping stories and systems to better serve communities most impacted by inequities.
A second-year doctoral student in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research at Western Michigan University, Chaya bridges data and storytelling to build more just and joyful systems. Her expertise lies in organizing data—whether reading the latest research, leading an evaluation, or shaping narratives for proposals.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and a Master of Business Administration from Regent University. Guided by the belief that caring for community means being exacting in discovering solutions to shared challenges, she continues to lead with vision and purpose at the intersections of policy, research, and narrative change.
